Suddenly i remember the existence of this dead blog of mine...
i dunno was it the exams stress or my monthly mood swings...
im feeling dead emo again

since the cobwebs have already accumulate here....
i think my rant wont be seen...
let my emotions blend in with the silence here...
peacefully

there is this huge sense of emptiness in my heart

at times i feel as though im standing in this world facing what lies ahead of me... alone

sometimes... how i wish humans are born withouht emotions
because being too emotional can be such a pain... a torture...

some find me too emotional...
some find me heartless, unmoved by anything

i hate being labelled as a cold-blooded
but i equally hate being called as an emo freak

so who am i

i really dunno the answer...

i do not want my love ones to share my sorrows...
i tried to hide em close inside...
but they tend to see through me
i fool them by acting that nothing had happen
but they misunderstood that i have no feelings

what else can i do besides putting up a strong false but heart bleeding inside???

The last popgroup that will feature today is Blue!

During the early millenium when boybands were starting to fade out....
this UK popgroup rise to the occasion with their debut big hit "All Rise"
really made everyone All Rise to welcome the four talented big boys into the music scene....

they are by far the best harmonising popband.....
because all 4 (Lee, Duncan, Simon and Anthony) are equally good at their vocals......
good enough to cut their solo albums and able to do well in the music arena.....

they know how to dance...... sing....... harmonise beautifully.........
most important of all..... their songs were all great hits.........
Their last compilation "Best of Blue" really included all the hits that made them one of the most successful British popband

they were also more diversified in the music genres, such as love ballads.... R&B/rap.... techno dance........
they were also the only group to have equal solo singing opportunities in the songs...
unlike most popbands who have lead singers.......
and unlike other boybands who were of equal race/colour
they were the only popact which comprised of the minority race... in the case of simon webb

My fav member is Duncan!!! he is the Brad Pitt in the music industry... ahhah......
but of cos younger and better looking than brad........

the music video that im gg to show is "Best in me" a perfect song with perfect lyrics and melody and of cos the perfect blending from the 4 lads....
perfect ending note to my string of entries of 90s famous popgroups
this song is dedicated to all my loved ones...

today im gg to introduce a girlband M2M....
my fav pop idols!!!!!!!!!

They are Marion Raven and Marit Larsen....
and there were only 2 of em hence they were called M2M

The 2 norwegians girls started their career at the age of 14,15
despite the inexperiences in the industry n life.......
their talent surpass their own abilities to make it big in 1999 with superhit "Don't say you love me" the song for Pokemon's Movie

Subsequently their career has been pretty smooth sailing with greater hits like "Mirror mirror", "Pretty boy", "Everything you do" and my fav "The day you went away" which was afterwards being sang in chinese by Cyndi Wang

The album "The Big Room" was their last workpiece together as a popgroup before parting ways to persue their solo career.

I like the both of em but will slighty prefer the cuter Marit Larsen.....
I was captivated by their talents rather than pretty faces.......
because not many can start off their music careers at jus the avg age of 15...
furthermore most of their hits were penned by themselves.......

their vocals have improved vastly since starting out....
from cutsey voices to matured voices............

All their songs were so nice! i had a hard time choosing a MV!
okays i shall play "What you do about me" the 2nd hit from their last album "The Big Room"
which topped the MTV billboard chart for 2 consecutive weeks....
the other reason is because both gals looked exceptionally gorgeous in the video...
hahahhahahaha!

today im gg to introduce Westlife.........
the longest surviving boyband over a decade..........
after the disbanding of numerous bands......... they are still playing music at their best

from 5 members to 4........ but they didnt lose the wonderful blendings in a song
they manage to cope wif the departure of bryan

as i have said b4.... not only they possess wonderful harmonising skills....
they also have the pretty boy looks to kill several millions of female fans

the only flaw that i could talk abt em is maybe dancing......
bcos they did not have fast songs to show their dancing skills in music videos....

however it did not lessen their attractiveness as a band....
in fact making em more unique and stand out from a crowd of dancing-based popgroups
this is wad i call the makings of a superband

my fav member is nicky... he resembles david beckham, the handsome n famous soccer player
ahahahah coincidentally he was also a soccer player before joining the band.....

They have far too many famous love songs such as "My Love", "I lay my love on you", "Uptown girl" many many more!
They also have a knack of singing new renditions of oldies such as "I have a dream", "Flying without wings", "You raise me up"

The 3rd popband that im gonna talk abt is S Club previously known as S Club 7
the changed in name was due to the departure of a member(paul), hence the group was resized to 6
cant jus renamed as S Club 6..... hahahahah

there were'nt many mix-popgroups that make it big in the music industry........
Taiwan had their own brand of S Club (known as R&B)
but they were not as significant and talented........

S Club popularity was proven by a drama series featured and named after them........
the series was a big hit in US in the late 90s too............

this popgroup exhibits liveliness of teenagers........
4 gals 3 boys

its hard to choose who's my fav member....
cos i thought i like the members equally.....
especially the gals......
tina is sporty, hannah is cute, rachel is gorgeous while the lead singer jo has great vocals.....
if u really want me to choose then it shall be rachel....
hahahaha! cos she is really a babe!

their songs are equally popular.... such as this evergreen song "Never had a dream come true"
or their famous 1st hit "Bring it all back" whose chinese version was sung by Jolin tsai
"Two in a million" and "Have you ever" were also my favourites...!

I've choosen to play this MV "S Club party" because its totally a song about em!

there are hardly any pop grps these days that caught my eye

continuition from the last entry....
the second popband that im gonna introduce is A1
formed by 4 cute guys (ben, christian, mark & paul)
apart from Westlife, i thought there were no other boybands whose members are all equally good looking....... in the english pop industry i mean.......
of cos in mandopop F4 n farhenheit are the pretty boy grps.......

i equalled A1 to farhenheit.........

the 4 guys shot to fame with their new rendition of Aha's "Take on me"
and at the same time capturing many teenage gals heart with songs such as "Like a rose", "Everytime"
they were also the only popgroup to attend gameshows in S'pore while they were here to promote their album

Out of the 4 guys i preferred christian.........

The MV that im gg to play is "Same old brand new you" my fav among their many songs....
It brings me memories when my cousins and i imitated the dance moves in this video!!!
hahhahhhahahahaha....... my cousin even used to have a hairstyle similar to ben's... (long & centre-parting fringe)

In the recent english music industry which is dominated by RnB n hard rock singers and bands......

it requires a few seconds of recalling that it was once largely dominated by pop groups and singers....
the pop music industry stretched from the 90s till the beginnings of the millenium
now there is still some glimpse of pop music....
thanks to Rihanna but afterall.... some of her songs are still pretty much influence by RnB styles

let me bring you back to the time when pop music is reigning.........
in the subsequent entries il slowly introduce some of my fav bands/artist that burst into the pop scene with styles....
hope these materials can revive my dead blog.... hahhaa.........
it will be more like a sharing session............
hope they will bring you reminiscenes of the old school days! =)

firstly il introduce one of my fav boybands in the 90s- Backstreet Boys(BSB)
they're undeniably the 1st pop group to start the "boyband phenomenon"
their famous hits included sweet ballads like "Quit playing games with my heart", "As long as you love me"
as im a popdance lover.... my fav songs includes fast n boombastic hits like "Everybody", "Larger than life", "The Call"
even though they may not be the best harmonising band of all time..... but some of their classic blendings is good enough to be kept in everyone's mind
as such "Show me the meaning of being lonely", "Shape of my heart", "Drowning" and in the recent years "Incomplete" and "Inconsolable"

My fav member is Kevin Richardson as he is too suave that its a big miss he isn't a Hollywood star...... ahhaah some fast facts.... brian and A.J are cousins...

during that time everyone was debating whether BSB or N'sync is the better band....
for me i still preferred BSB as their popularity is brought about by their own hardwork....
whereas N'sync is more labelled as "BSB's rivals" or the Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears relationship saga.........
in this case BSB had a healthier image.... one of the requirements of idols

enough said.....

now, i geniunely feel e pain of losing em.......
everyone is getting bz........
i noe i cant hold on to em 24/7.........

dun worry bout me...
i noe how to spend my days fruitfully....

some of em have family probs...

its perfectly ok when i needed someone most they're not here for me...
but when they need me i must be there for em....
thats a promise that i've made inside my heart since e day our friendship blossom...

i used to be v enthusiastic...
now sometimes i can be enthu...
but maybe a few years later il lose e zest i used to have.......
no matter how much i have changed or will change....
my heart towards blend will not waver
nowadays we often joked that we will sign e 'breakaway' agreement...

Went back to JJ to collect my A lvl cert... alone...

cos i wanna be low-profiled as possible... hahah

really low profiled...

i cycled to sch... LOL so coolz...

but it was really tiring...

talked a lot wif e friendly security uncle... ahahahah

still as cheerful as b4... =)

made a swift entrance to e sch.......

e compound did change...

saw some familiar faces too.......

but i didnt stop to chat wif em....

dunno y e feeling of belonged to e sch jus overwhelmed me so much...

my eyes are filled wif tears of joy............

today i planned to make up my future...

i called MOE to check how was my case gg on...

they said they'l put me into contract teaching for a yr then next yr i can try to apply for e BA(edu) course again........

on e other hand... my fren told me dat SIM have Jan intake....

so i went to look at e courses available for e period...

n i decided to choose e Bachelor of Biz(management) by RMIT university...

il be gg down to submit e relevant docs tml...

whew........

e reason y i didnt choose NIE is bcos its v time-wasting...

so during this remaining 5 mths in 2008...

il be tutoring, working...

earning my own sch fees.... :)

so im planning to go back to Mandarin Oriental for work...

not SO soon.........

maybe somewhere in mid-aug... or aft i've settled all my paperworks........

received an offer from manytutors today too :)

everything is done on my part... jus need to cfm wif e client... :)

I am beginning to be disgusted by the ugly side of this realistic society.....
I can be very frank........
but i'm pretty certain this is e recipe n equation to survive in this working circus...
money + HIGH education = success

and e definition of high education not only depends on e no. of certs u have...
but also how prestigous ur alma maters are............

now comes another qns......
are students from local unis better then students from private unis???
well based on e admission criterias... spontaneously it differentiates local uni undergrads n private uni undergrads......
but does it give a reason to discriminate private uni students???

bringing u back to several yrs ago where streaming in pri schs still operates.........
e differentiation between EM1 n Em3 students...........

Discrimination based on education levels is so prevailing in this country......
resulting in senseless comparison between parents........
concurrently asserting tremendous pressure on students..........

It may be due to e fact that we're a meritocratic country.......

however i feels that e greater part of it boils down to e mentality of S'poreans...
S'poreans are so practical.........

sometimes do u wonder wad are u working so hard for?
to meet ur parent's expectation??
for ur own future?
wad future are u planning n working towards to?

bcos of e practicalism in this society...
its hard to strike a balance between ur interests n work.........
looking at e popularity of uni courses such as biz n accountancy.......
it is pretty obvious many prefer the 'safer' path......
whereby there will be plenty of job opportunities..........

i have another qns...........
do u wan a job where u have great interests in but low pay or a high-salary job but u're not happy with it at all.........?
many ppl... including me will jump into a decision n conclusion..... which is to seek for our ambition.... regardless of money.........
however........ when u tot a job of ur interest will make u happy n satisfied wif....... u're wrong...
bcos by then........ ur interests n passion will die off as u will be getting sick wif e job.......
e job will slowly diminish ur initial passion n drive to do wad u like
dats wad my colleagues told me...........
cruel it may sounds...........
but it is pretty true...........
there is no such a thing called e 'ideal job' cos working is def not e ideal way of living....

Money is definitely not everything.......
but it is definitely something that u cant forgo........

do not hesitate to do wad u wan...
we only live once in this world...
even though our life may be in a mess aft soughting for wad we wan...
but at least...... we've done wad we wanted to do......
i believe life is all abt achieving, attaining... n sharing.........

putting material well-being aside...
rmb there's always a thing called Love in this world..........
its e impt element which keeps me gg strong to survive in dodgy n unpredictable circumstances...

I can live w/o money...
but i cant live w/o love...
i cant live w/o my loved ones... friends n family

no matter how tough e future may seem......

we celebrated it at Mandarin Oriental's Melt Cafe... =)

i'm v happy dat they love e food there :D

Well......
summing up this wk...........
its a mixture of ups n downs.... gd n bad.... happy n sad

my dad got admitted into SGH on fri...
he was sent there by ambulance during working time....
for aft several blood tests n scans...
the doc say his heart is working normal...
so its not e heart prob....
its jus e prelimary checks....
tml e cardiologist will follow up on him...
so for now its only e gastrial prob.... a stomach infection....
now he is a lot better.......
god bless.......

i noe it does certainly have smth to do wif me........
i made him worry bout me.......
he was worried that i could not take a blow of not getting into NIE
he has a heart prob but yet i added pressure on him.......
uhs... im so unfillial..........

im gg thru a rough patch...
but i noe i need to go thru it bravely...............
we have made a new decision... we are not selling our hse already.......
we have tot of other ways to clear my dad's debt prob...
and wif his health.... its not feasible to move oso..............

I suffered a huge setback today:
My offer for NTU's BA(edu) was withdrawn...
bcos i didnt clear my ept test b4 May

I know during e uni admission thingy that application for e course requires us to clear e test b4 a deadline
but natural instinct from e students,
if u wasnt sure of a place in e course y would u sign up for e test?
and e test isnt free....

okays.... maybe i was partly wrong dat i didnt sign up for e test asap after application
but if thats e case why MOE asked me for e interview?
and e interview comes only in late May....
wad can i do abt e ept test thing?

okays.... yes MOE did remind me abt e ept test during my interview again....
but i rather they reject me aft my interview...
aft gg thru e interview, getting e offer letter.... n completing all e paperwork....
withdraw my place easily bcos of a requirement that they need to comply...

its easy to say... 'oh u can take ur A lvls again den sign up for e course next yr...
or try writing to MOE to appeal for another teaching course...'
bcos they weren't e ones my in shoes....
try getting a key of a ferrari but it exploded in front of ur face...................
e feeling is equivalent to it............
on e verge of attaining smth but lost it at e last moment...........

tears rolling down my cheeks in a heavy rain with gusty wind jus sums up my feelings for e morn

i wanna apologise n thank my dearies xy n siew at e same time for their accompaniment for lunch today
they made me feel a lot better

Im having a headache for 2 days already..................
its tension headache......
e doc suspects that i may have overstrain my eyes or having too much stress from work...
i guess its e latter....
i think i knew it myself too...

i thought im an iron lady...
but that was not e truth...............
i broke down today.............
i couldnt cope with e overwhelming emotions n workload........
this was e 1st time i ran to e toilet n hide to cry...........................
i dunno y im facing difficulties coping wif pressure today...........

i overcame immense pressure from 2 major exams, O n A levels
but this time rd i could not cope wif e pressure from work...........
i know smth is very wrong wif me at e moment.............................
i know if i con't to bottle up i may suffer from depression

my mum suggest that i should stop work now....
but since there is only 1 more wk of work...........
il jus grit my teeth n hang on there......................
il take more care of my health too.....

yest was dreadful for me
i've never felt so sick b4

high fever and sore throat
almost killed me...

my hands were so hot that i could cooked an egg half-boiled
im pretty dark but yet my cheeks were visibly flushing...

at times i feel like vomitting
anything a LITTLE worst could land me in e hospital...

jus came back from Olympic Dreamz at Toa Payoh stadium...
have to thank lusty's dad to sent us to the stadium at 6 plus...
=)

anyways...
covered a total of 4.8km today...
walk/run
ah ha...
to be exact
7 rds of sprinting + 5 rds of walking
ah ha....
im part of e relay team which aims to set a record of 700++ rds from 8-5.30pm today...
the other volunteers are still at e stadium running now and im at home!
omg...
but i cant stay there too latez...
anyways!!!

im quite amazed that i actually survived the 12 rds and the heat
and e best thing is im still quite dry aft dat...
ah ha...
n i survived e run w/o breakfast...
i managed to run an avg of 2 mins per rd despite not training for a long time...
best rd is like 1 min 40 secs??
so kudos! to myself...

but compared to those who ran 50 rds...
my contribution is peanuts...
